Happy Days
Remember when the music video for Weezer's Buddy Holly was included on the Windows 95 disc? That was kinda weird, right? But kinda awesome. I remember 12-year-old me watching that video over and over again on the family computer and wanting to have THAT huge distortion sound.
Bring yourself back to the time of screeching dial-up modems, ICQ, oversized pants and stickered-up Fender fat Strats with the Freqscene Happy Days pedal.
I wanted to recreate the huge distortion/fuzz sound of the Blue Album with this pedal. And I love how it turned out. There are no knobs on the front to keep the design looking clean. But because I know you freqs love to tinker, I included little VOLUME, EQ, GAIN and WIDTH knobs inside the back of the pedal. Just unscrew the back and turn them with a little flathead screwdriver. So what first looks like a one-note fuzz is actually SUPER versatile. The WIDTH control is the magic here, it can change this thing from a spitty/gated fuzz sound to a smooth sustaining distortion. And the handy EQ control can give you everything from a bright cutting fuzz to a thick low end tone perfect for bass guitar as well.
